The real time meal testing options for those with food sensitivities is quickly expanding. Recently NIMA (a portable gluten tester has been released) and now Ally (prototype only) is a small meal tester that works with lactose with plans to support nuts, meat, wheat and seafood.
In the last 20 years, there has been a 615% increase in hospital admissions from food induced anaphylaxis. Ally is a project to give patients a proactive solution to food allergies, allowing them to detect contaminated food before their allergy is triggered.
