If you have not yet tried meditating with a noninvasive brain stimulation device you are missing out. I’ve found that my meditations last longer, go deeper and are significantly more intense when using tDCS form of brain zapping.
Thync released their first version (edition 1) two years ago complete with a phone app that was loaded “vibes” for energy enhancement and relaxation. The first edition functioned well, but the strips wore out quickly and were awkward to attach to the head and neck area. The downside to this device was the cost of the strips at $25 for a 3-pack.
Thync recently announced the Relax Pro which still uses a more convenient smaller disposable adhesive. The Relax Pro focuses on deep sleep and relaxation. The new pricing model is subscription based with plans costing between $19-$29 a month or a unlocked $280 plan. While this could be affordable when comparing to sleeping pills or other substances it feels like a strange amount to spend on neuroenhancement.
It is worth pointing out that Thync has put out some fascinating studies. This company is at the forefront of bringing electrical stimulation to the masses. If you are into building your own tDCS devices definitely check out this talk from the co-founder and CSO of Thync starting at 46min.
