Due to wear and tear, LEDs are going to fail at some point. You can minimize the amount of broken pixels by doing a few things. For example, connect power and ground to both the “in” and the “out” end of your strip. That way if one power wire breaks, you’re still getting power to your pixels. You can also make sure pixels at high stress points are at the end of a design.
