Rhodiola Rosea is an stress reducing (adaptogen) herb that has been shown to exert an anti-fatigue effect. There are also studies suggesting that rhodiola can increase in mental performance and be an effective mood enhancer.  Rhodiola is a MAOI (monoamine oxidase inhibitor) so best to avoid mixing with a SSRI (serotonin reuptake inhibitor) or foods rich in tyramine.

Looking across some of the more popular pre-bundled nootropic stacks it appears about half are using rhodiola. While Alpha Brain, Optimind and Tru Brain are not using it. Mind Lab ProNootrobox (Rise) and Qualia are including widely varying amounts of rhodiola from 50mg to 300mg.
