During a half marathon race in Fort Lauderdale on Feb. 19th Jane Seo decided to cut a section of the course. She turned around early shaving about 1.5 miles off the race distance and finishing in second place. She accepted the award and manually posted some data to Strava, but things did not add up. Later that day Jane rode the course on her bike and posted that GPS data which was even more suspect because the cadence looked more like a bike than a run.

Race investigator Derek Murphy got involved and noticed a Garmin 235 in her finish photo. He purchased the photo and was able to see that Jane had not run the full course. Jane did make a public apology, but it has since been removed from Instagram.
