Open source enthusiasts know the agony of purchasing a piece of hardware only to find out just how difficult it is to access the data being collected on it. GoldenCheetah is an open source fitness analyzer that works with cycling, running and swimming data. GC is an all platform program able to read from a diverse range of hardware, fitness tracking sites and file formats. This is one of the most beautiful open source apps I have ever used. It is important to note that the coolest functionality is geared towards cycling. I had no trouble importing run and swim data from Garmin Connect (TCX, FIT, GPX) and Strava (GPX).

We believe that cyclists and triathletes should be able to download their power data to the computer of their choice, analyze it in whatever way they see fit, and share their methods of analysis with others.
